Queen Margherita had this chapel built after the death of her beloved husband, Umberto I, to whom it is dedicated. It was originally sited in Palazzo Margherita in Rome. Queen Elena donated it to the parish of SS. Annunziata in 1935. Designed by Stramucci and built by Dellera, it was restored in 1985 by the Giordano family. Inside, a walnut carved altar with an over standing wooden shrine, that also serves as the base of a statue representing the beatified Umberto, are clearly seen. On the ceiling, there is a carved escutcheon of the Savoia family.
